BERT Training Fund
BERT Training Fund (BTF) is a joint union and Employer initiative which provides members of the Building Employees Redundancy Trust (BERT) with funding and assistance to improve their skills.
The Fund, which was previously known as Queensland Construction Training Fund was established in 1991 to enable the industry to take responsibility for the funding of its training needs.
Fire Industry Training (FiT) is an industry-owned organisation, committed to fire protection and dedicated to quality training.
Formed in 2008 FiT quickly established itself as the pre-eminent provider of fire protection training in Australia.
FiT delivers a range of industry-specific training at centres of excellence, where FiT consistently strive to improve and to fulfil their objective of delivering quality, industry-focussed training which benefits all stakeholders. FiT is the preferred provider of apprentice training for all states.

The Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre (PICAC) is a unique industry-led organisation. PICAC is a partnership supported by the Plumbing and Pipe Trades Employees Union (PPTEU), Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association of Australia (MPMSAA), Master Plumbers Association of Queensland (MPAQ), National Fire Industry Association of Australia (NFIA) and the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA).
The Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre (PICAC)
STQ works hard in the areas of attracting, developing and retaining members of the Queensland construction workforce. This is achieved through the delivery of a number of successful programs and strategies, including mentoring (currently higher than 90% apprenticeship completion rate), and supporting training facilitation (placing of 6,500 positions).

CIP
Construction Income Protection - CIP commenced on 1st of March 2001 to provide income protection and portability of sick leave benefits for workers in the building and construction industry within Queensland and Northern Territory.
The Fund has the support of the building unions and the builder's party to its development. The benefits payable by the Fund provide building workers an income whilst off work due to long-term illness or injury for up to 104 weeks. It also allows workers to utilise untaken sick leave that previously was forfeited when the employee left employment.
