Discipline and Misconduct

If either the employer or the apprentice fail to uphold their obligations under their contract (this includes if the employer tries to sack the apprentice) either party can ask DET to take action, including suspension, fines, or even cancellation of the contract however again, this must be approved by the department and if the parties do not agree, either party can seek a ruling from the Training and Employment Recognition Council.
